What’s the difference between gelato & Swan River Gelato?

We make traditional gelato, where as most other gelato these days contain additives including texturisers, stabilisers and flavour enhancers. These products allow the gelato to last longer, be piled up high in the trays, to melt slower and have a consistent texture.

This type of gelato can be compared to a cake mix.

Swan River Gelato is made using traditional artisan techniques, without all the additives.

This is a more difficult process, but results in a much creamier, fresher tasting gelato.
